What is The GPC Spring Swing?
The GPC Spring Swing is going to be one of the biggest pickleball tournaments of the year!
The tournament offers brackets for singles and doubles. For the singles brackets you can sign up for Men’s, Women’s, or even a 45+ bracket. The 45+ bracket will be contingent on number of participants. For the doubles brackets there will be both Men’s and Women’s. The tournament will be held a the German Country Club in Paulshof, Johannesburg through GPC Pickleball. GPC Pickleball has four premium courts at the German Country Club. For the rest of the courts necessary to host a large tournament like this GPC will be utilizing temporary courts on the tennis courts available at the club. The tournament will take place on September 21st and 22nd. Singles will be played on the 21st and then doubles will be the 22nd.

- Prizes
- The GPC Spring Swing is going to offer some of the best prizes available! The cash prizes offered for the First place for each singles winner will be R1000, second place will be R750 and 3rd will be R400! This is phenomenal. If you enter now for singles you will only have to pay R150 with a chance at winning any of those cash prizes. Plus it has just been confirmed that for the winners of the Men’s and Women’s singles event will also be winning brand new Joola Pickleball paddles. For the Men’s singles division the winner will receive a Joola Perseus! For the Women’s singles divisions the winner will receive a Joola Scorpeus!
- Cash prizes of R1000 for first place, R600 for second, and R400 will be given to first, second, and third respectively for Men’s and Women’s doubles as well.

- If you love competition and want a chance to prove yourself as one of the best in Johannesburg or the surrounding area this is the time for you to do so! - Participating in tournaments is one of the best ways to help grow pickleball here in South Africa. The more people who are consistently competing the more the sport will grow. Pickleball in America had been around for quite some time before it really started to boom. One of the major factors of this boom was people starting to see pickleball as a sport that can foster great competition. If pickleball was always seen as a sport for the retired community it would have never taken off.
